The flammability behaviors of ammonium polyphosphate/aluminum hydroxide/mica/silicone rubber (APP/Al[OH]3/mica/SiR) ceramifying composites containing APP, Al[OH]3, and mica are investigated by cone calorimeter test. The thermal degradation and the synergistic effect of APP/Al(OH)3/mica/SiR composites are investigated by thermal gravimetric analysis, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. APP/Al(OH)3/mica/SiR composites with 25 wt% of APP, 20 wt% of Al(OH)3, 25 wt% of mica, and 30 wt% SiR presents a much lower total heat release, the value of peak heat release rate (PHRR), the maximum average heat release rate, the longest time to ignition, and time to the PHRR (tPHRR), compared with the flame-retardant properties from composites with filler of APP and mica or APP and Al(OH)3 alone. The results indicate that there is an excellent synergism in APP, Al(OH)3, and mica, which endows APP/Al(OH)3/mica/SiR composites with both good flame retardancy and fire prevention. The study on the synergism effect between fire prevention and flame retardancy of APP/Al(OH)3/mica/SiR composites indicates that compounds containing P-O-Al are formed due to the reaction between APP and Al(OH)3 during combustion in the early stage and a coherent, dense, and sealed structure is formed due to the reaction in mica, phosphates, and the thermal decomposition products of SiR during combustion in the later stage. 相似文献

Synergistic effect of sodium borohydride (NaBH4) mixed with waste aluminum in hydrolytic system were investigated to improve the hydrogen generation (HG) efficiency. The alkaline aqueous originated from NaBH4 hydrolysis impels the passive aluminum hydroxide film of Al surface to be dissolved, thus, mutual effect of HG amount increasing by 88% and 50% for Al powder and waste Al can, respectively. To add acid catalyst in the mutual mixture system prompts to significantly accelerate HG rate from 100 ml/min˙g to 400 ml/min˙g but raising temperature is not obviously found. It is speculated that exothermic effect dominates the NaBH4 hydrolytic reaction and eliminates the temperature effect. In this study, the mutual hydrolyzed reaction of NaBH4 and waste Al provides ecofriendly environment, low cost and enables to achieve higher HG rate and further uses for portable/mobile fields. 相似文献

以实验室自制的聚硅酸氯化铝铁(PSAFC)和助凝剂聚丙烯酰胺(PAM)为主要原料,复合处理高浊度的生活污水,利用正交法优化得出对生活污水混凝处理的最佳混凝条件。试验表明:在PAM和PSAFC的总投加体积2 m L、V(PAM)/V(PSAFC)为0.1、p H=5、反应温度25℃时,对生活污水的处理效果最好,絮凝率达到96.12%。对絮凝机理进行了探讨。 相似文献

ABSTRACT Urea-formaldehyde (UF)/carboxylated carbon nanotubes (CNTs-COOH) nanocomposite foams were prepared via in-situ polymerization. Chemical bonding and hydrogen bonding interactions formed between CNTs-COOH and UF matrix. UF resin adhered onto the ektexine of CNTs-COOH and grafting ratio of 496.41% was achieved. UF/CNTs-COOH foam showed smaller cell size, narrower cell size distribution and lower water absorption compared with UF foam. Introduction of 0.25 wt% CNTs-COOH resulted in 58.43% increase in compressive strength. CNTs-COOH were pulled out with surface covered with UF resin under stress and the failure mode was the destruction of matrix around interfacial layer. Twin screw granulation (TSG) is a new process of interest to the pharmaceutical community that can continuously wet granulate powders, doing so at lower liquid concentrations and with better product consistency than found by a high shear batch mixer. A considerable body of research has evolved over the short time since this process was introduced but generally with little comparison of results. A certain degree of confidence has been developed through these studies related to how process variables and many attributes of machinery configuration will affect granulation but some major challenges still lay ahead related to scalability, variations in the processing regimes related to degree of channel fill and the impact of wetting and granulation of complex powder formulations. Besides developing a large number of catalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) in alkaline electrolytes, its conversion efficiency remained low. Herein, we have developed mixed-dimensional heterostructures of niobium disulfide (NbS2) with graphene foam grown on nickel foam (NbS2-Gr-NF). The strong lateral fusion results in activating the catalytic sites of NbS2, the three-dimensional substrate provides easy access of electrolyte to active sites and increased electrochemically active surface area, while enhanced conductivity provides faster transfer of electrons to and from active sites. Therefore, NbS2-Gr-NF heterostructures resulted in an exceptionally high current density of 500 mA cm−2 at a very low overpotential of 306 mV in 1 M KOH solution and even can achieve the current density values of 914 mAcm−2 at 338 mV only at a slight increase in overpotential (32 mV). Moreover, a Tafel value of ~72 mV dec−1 confirms that as-developed heterostructure provides fast reaction kinetics where the reaction is mainly controlled by the Volmer step. Achieving such high current density at a faster rate with high stability makes NbS2-Gr-NF heterostructures a potential candidate for water-splitting, especially in alkaline electrolytes. 相似文献
